Most people get here after trying to get through it alone.

Not because they weren't strong enough. But because some things don't yield to willpower.

You can understand perfectly why you react a certain way and still react exactly the same way next time. Knowing why you do something doesn't mean you know how to do it differently.

Here we work together on what matters to you: feeling better, improving the relationships that count, getting to where you want to be.

We work together, patiently: to understand, to heal, to stop ending up in the same place.

Almost no one arrives with the real problem in the first session.

Beneath the problem as it's stated, there is almost always another one, for which there aren't yet words. You can see it in hesitations, in what's avoided, in what's said too quickly. That's where the work begins.

Things I often hear here

"There's nothing seriously wrong, I'm just tired."

"We argue about nothing, really."

"I can't control my emotions at key moments."

"I've moved past it, it was long ago."

"Maybe I'm overreacting."

"I want to be well myself, so I can start a relationship again."

If you heard yourself saying any of these, you already know you weren't saying quite everything.

I won't give you advice.

You've already had advice, from people who mean well, and it changed nothing. Nor will I tell you that the past can be erased, because it can't. What can change, though, is how much it still affects you from here on. How much it steers your decisions. How much room it leaves for the life you want now.

I work by choosing, from among clinically validated approaches, the one that fits what you bring. Sometimes it's processing a memory that never settled. Other times, it's the way two people have been talking to each other for years without ever reaching each other.

Some things clear up in a few sessions. Others take months. I can't tell you from the start which category you're in, and anyone who promises you an exact timeframe is promising something they can't possibly know.

Storms don't pass because we wait, but because we move toward a place with good weather.

We work with what happened to you, until the past no longer pulls you back.

What changes doesn't change because of what I tell you.

It changes in the way I listen to you and in what I hear beyond your words.

Years of research keep showing the same thing: of all the factors that make therapy work, the quality of the interaction with the psychotherapist outweighs the chosen method. Precisely because no technique works in a relationship where you don't feel safe.

That's why the first meeting matters in both directions: I assess whether I can help you, and you assess whether you can talk to me.

Four ways of working

The first three take place at the practice in Craiova, or online, on a secure platform.

The disability file evaluation is done only face-to-face.

The confidentiality rules are the same in all cases.

01

Individual psychotherapy

For anxiety, panic attacks, trauma, loss, and blocks that keep repeating regardless of context. We work with what took shape early and keeps activating now, not just with the symptom on the surface. The pace is set together, and the direction is reviewed periodically.

02

Couples psychotherapy

Most couples don't split up for lack of love. They split up because the same conversation ends the same way every time. Here we work with the repeating pattern, not the last argument. With what's asked without being said, and with what's heard differently than it was intended.

03

Psychological assessment

Validated psychometric instruments, administered and interpreted by a clinical psychologist. It gives you a clear starting point: where you stand, what helps you, what holds you back. You receive the result as a written report, plus a session where we discuss together what each part means.

04

Evaluation for Disability File

Psychological evaluation report for the file submitted to the adult disability evaluation commission. For adults who already have a diagnosis from a psychiatrist or neurologist. The evaluation measures your current functioning, and the degree is determined by the commission based on your entire file.

How it goes, step by step

So you know what comes next before you open the door.

First meeting

You tell me what brings you here. You're not asked to tell everything at once. At the end I'll tell you whether I can help you and how. If someone else would be a better fit, I'll tell you that directly.

The working framework

We set the pace, the goals, and how we check whether we're heading the right way. Nothing is decided without you, and nothing is done without you understanding why.

The journey

Regular sessions, with reviews at intervals agreed in advance. You can always say that something isn't working. That's part of the process, not an interruption.

Questions I'm often asked

What does the first session look like?

It's a getting-to-know-you meeting. There are no long forms, and you're not asked to open up about everything at once. We talk about what brought you here and what you've tried so far.

At the end I'll honestly tell you whether my approach fits you. It's a meeting where you assess too, not just me.

How long does therapy last?

I can't give you an exact number of sessions before I meet you. Some things clear up in five or six sessions. Others take months. What I can promise is that we'll periodically review whether it's heading the right way, and if it isn't, we say so and change something.

Do we both come to couples therapy?

Usually yes. In some cases I suggest one or two individual sessions with each of you, at the start of the process, so I understand what each person brings to the relationship. What's discussed there stays confidential from the other partner, and this rule is set out clearly from the start.

What is a psychological assessment useful for?

It gives you verifiable information about yourself, instead of impressions. It's useful when you want a clear starting point before therapy, when you need a document for a medical or professional context, or when you simply want to understand why you react the way you do.

The report stays yours. You decide on your own whom to show it to.

Online or in the office?

Both work. The practice is in Craiova. Online I work on a secure platform, with the same confidentiality rules. For certain interventions I recommend in-person attendance, and if so I'll tell you from the start.

What happens to what I say in the practice?

It stays in the practice. Confidentiality is a professional obligation, laid down in the Code of Ethics of the Romanian Psychologists' College. I'll explain the exceptions provided by law at the first session, so you know them in advance.

If you've read this far, something sounded familiar.

That's reason enough for a first conversation. Write to me about what's happening, in a few lines. I'll reply personally.

Write just enough for me to know what it's about. Let's leave health details for the practice, not for a form sent over the internet.
